Iowa Wild Community Ice Rinks

Iowa Wild Community Rinks Program

T05A3147.jpgNeed to hit the ice but have nowhere to skate? We’ve been there — that’s why we teamed up with local city communities to build eleven free public ice rinks across central Iowa!

Thanks to the support of the cities of Johnston, Ames, Ankeny, Indianola, Urbandale, Waukee, Grinnell, Altoona, Newton, and Marshalltown, we’re bringing accessible ice skating to fans all across the Des Moines Metro. We’re also excited to announce the newest addition to our lineup — the Carlisle Rink is now open!

Rinks are open daily from dawn to dusk, weather permitting and depending on seasonal conditions. Be sure to check with your local rink for designated times for open skating and hockey. These public community rinks are BYOS—Bring Your Own Skates.
