DES MOINES, IA – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Thursday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Gustav Olofsson (pronounced GOO-stahv OH-lawf-suhn) from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) under emergency conditions. The team also placed defenseman Marco Scandella on Injured Reserve due to a lower-body injury suffered in Tuesday's game at Pittsburgh.

Olofsson, 20 (12/1/94), has recorded three assists in 17 games with Iowa this season. The 6-foot-3, 197-pound native of Boras, Sweden, has collected four points (1-3=4) and 37 shots on goal in 26 career AHL games with Iowa.
