Iowa's first-ever Calder Cup Playoff appearance came to end with a 3-1 loss to the Chicago Wolves in Game 6 of the Central Division Final. The Wolves claimed the series, 4-2, advancing to the Western Conference Finals.
After a scoreless 1st period, the Wolves took a 1-0 lead early in the 2nd period on a power play goal from Curtis McKenzie. Wild defenseman Hunter Warner collected his first goal of the postseason to tie the game at 1-1, but the Wolves responded with a shorthanded goal from Daniel Carr and an even-strength goal from Cody Glass in a 25-second span to claim a 3-1 lead before the 2nd intermission.
There was no scoring in the third period. The Wild finished their 2019 playoff run with a record of 5-6.
