AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE ANNOUNCES FULL 2026-27 SCHEDULE
Jul 9, 2026SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Iowa Wild and American Hockey League today announced the 2026-27 regular season schedule.

The Iowa Wild opens the 2026-27 season on Friday, Oct. 2 at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park against the Texas Stars. Iowa returns to Des Moines for the home opener on Friday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. against the Rockford IceHogs.
The team’s longest home stand (six games) takes place from Oct. 21 through Nov. 5. The team’s longest road trips (four games) run from Nov. 20-29, Jan. 19-24, and Feb. 16-21.
The home schedule features 25 weekend games (12 on Friday, 10 on Saturday, and three on Sunday) and 11 weekday matchups (two on Tuesday, six on Wednesday, and two on Thursday). December has eight home games, the most of any month. October and January include six home contests, while November, February, March, and April each have four matchups at home.
Iowa plays 13 total games in January, the most of any month. The Wild plays 12 times in February, and 11 times in October, November, and December. Rounding out the 72-game slate are nine games in March and five in April.
Iowa plays the Lehigh Valley Phantoms for the first time in team history. Iowa hosts Lehigh Valley on Dec. 18 and 19 before visiting the Phantoms on Feb. 20 and 21.
Iowa plays one other Eastern Conference opponent, the Charlotte Checkers, for a third consecutive season. The Wild hosts the Checkers on Oct. 30 and Nov. 1 before visiting Charlotte on Feb. 16 and 17.
Iowa faces three Pacific Division opponents in 2026-27: the Henderson Silver Knights, the San Diego Gulls, and the Tucson Roadrunners. The Wild plays each Pacific Division opponent twice at home and twice on the road.
Iowa’s Central Division schedule consists of 52 games against six opponents. The team faces Grand Rapids and Rockford 10 times each and plays eight games apiece against Chicago, Manitoba, Milwaukee, and Texas.
