IOWA WILD SIGNS GOALTENDER KYLE MCCLELLAN
Apr 8, 2024DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowa Wild General Manager Mike Murray today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed goaltender Kyle McClellan to an amateur try-out contract (ATO). Iowa also signed McClellan to a one-year, one-way AHL contract for the 2024-25 season.
McClellan, 25 (3/18/99), completed the 2023-24 season with the Wisconsin Badgers, where he went 24-12-1 with a 1.94 goals-against average (GAA), a .931 save percentage (SV%) and seven shutouts in 37 games. He compiled a collegiate record of 41-35-3 with a 2.35 GAA, a .926 SV% and 11 shutouts in 82 NCAA appearances with Mercyhurst (2020-2022) and Wisconsin (2022-2024).
Prior to his professional career, McClellan skated in 32 games with the Omaha Lancers in the USHL during the 2019-20 season, where he posted a record of 16-7-4, a 2.39 GAA and a .909 SV% with three shutouts.
