IOWA WILD WINS AHL 2022-23 MARKETING DEPARTMENT OF THE YEAR

TUCSON, Ariz. - The American Hockey League announced winners of the league’s annual team business awards Thursday and recognized the Iowa Wild as the 2022-23 Marketing Department of the Year. Iowa also earned several team achievement awards for accomplishments by the team’s sales and corporate sponsorship departments. 

The Iowa Wild marketing department accomplished several notable feats during the 2022-23 season, which included but were not limited to: 

  • Generating the highest revenue for a single game in franchise history on Mar. 11, 2023  

  • Setting a new single season record for single game ticket revenue (21.3% increase from the 2021-22 season) 

  • Setting a new single season record for merchandise revenue (27% increase from the 2021-22 season) 

  • Generating over $1 million worth of total value in TV coverage for the first time in team history 

  • Increasing the team’s email database by 25.9% 

  • Increasing followings on all major social platforms (Twitter [4.68%], Instagram [6.5%], Facebook [2.02%], and TikTok [232.19%]) 

  • Surpassing advanced single game ticket revenue goals by 46% 

  • Exceeding day-of-game ticket revenue goals by 42% 

  • Expanding the Iowa Wild brand to 28 different states, Canada and the United Kingdom through merchandise sales 

The AHL also honored the Iowa Wild with several team achievement awards for milestones achieved by the sales and corporate sponsorship departments. These awards included recognition for: 

  • 600 New FSE’s (Full Season Equivalents) 

  • 85% Full Season Ticket Renewal Rate 

  • 15% Growth in Per Game Group Ticket Revenue 

  • 15% Growth in Corporate Cash 

  • 85% Corporate Cash Account Renewal Rate
