MINNESOTA WILD TO PARTICIPATE IN 2013 NHL PROSPECTS TOURNAMENT IN TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN, SEPTEMBER 5-9
Iowa Wild Coaching Staff to Lead Prospects
Saint Paul, MN – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Wednesday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club will participate in the 2013 NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City, Mich., Sept. 5-9. Wild prospects will compete in the tournament’s Gordie Howe Division with the Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings and St. Louis Blues. The Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets and New York Rangers will play in the tournament’s Ted Lindsay Division.
Minnesota’s roster features a total of 10 Wild draft picks: G Alexandre Belanger (2013, 7th round), RW Brett Bulmer (2010, 2nd round), LWRaphael Bussieres (2012, 2nd round), D Mathew Dumba (2012, 1stround), RW Kurtis Gabriel (2013, 3rd round), C Tyler Graovac (2011, 7thround), G Johan Gustafsson (2010, 6th round), LW Erik Haula (2009, 7thround), D Dylan Labbe (2013, 4th round) and C Zack Philips (2011, 1stround). Iowa Wild Head Coach Kurt Kleinendorst and Assistant Coach Steve Poapst will lead the Wild prospects.

Minnesota is set to open its 2013 Training Camp presented by Andersen Windows on Thursday, Sept. 12. A complete training camp schedule and roster will be announced prior to the start of training camp.
The Iowa Wild begins its Inaugural season in October of 2013. Season tickets to see the Wild play at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game.
