Iowa Wild (15-25-1-1, 32 points) at Grand Rapids Griffins (20-16-3-1, 44 points)

Iowa concludes a stretch of two straight on the road, finishing with a visit to Grand Rapids. The two teams meet for the second time this season. Grand Rapids took the series opener 9-2 at Van Andel Arena on Dec. 27. They will meet six times, including the next game on Jan. 29 in Des Moines. Grand Rapids and Iowa both played in the Midwest Division last season. Iowa was moved to the West over the summer. The Wild is 2-8-1-0 all-time against Grand Rapids, having been outscored 31-15 last year. The Griffins have a four-game winning streak over the Wild dating back to last year. Iowa is 2-4-0-0 all-time at Grand Rapids. The Griffins are 9-2-0-0 all-time, with a 4-2-0-0 mark at the Van Andel Arena.

The Iowa Wild were defeated by the Milwaukee Admirals 4-3 in front of 11,562 fans on day at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Forward Austin Watson beat Iowa goalie Johan Gustafsson with 6:37 left in regulation, breaking a 3-3 tie and giving the Admirals their ninth straight win. Iowa scored twice over a 1:16 span early in the third period, erasing a 3-1 deficit and tying the game. Milwaukee goalie Marek Mazenec made 25 saves for the win, his fourth straight. Iowa goalie Johan Gustafsson had 16 saves in the road loss. Center Tyler Graovac led the Wild offensively with his 14th goal and an assist. Rookies Zack Mitchell and Matt Dumba also scored in the defeat.
