Frequently Asked Questions

What division should I play in?

ABC = Advanced

This division is for those who have pretty extensive hockey experience. People who played a fairly competitive level of hockey growing up and have continued to play as an adult will fit in comfortably playing in the ABC Division.

D = Intermediate

D Division is for those who played growing up, but have slowed down since, or for people who picked up hockey as an adult and are confident in their abilities.

Novice = Beginners

The Novice Division is designed for those who are brand new to hockey, or former D level players who feel D is too fast for them now.

How long is the WAHL season? When are games played?

Our league is a little bit different, since we have to schedule the games at Wells Fargo Arena around other events, but we keep things as consistent and as fair as possible for each team!

The season runs from late September through late March or early April, so there won’t be games every single week. Game nights for each division are as follows, for the most part:

  • ABC – Mondays & Wednesdays
  • D – Tuesdays & Thursdays
  • Novice – Mondays & Wednesdays

The earliest possible game time is 6:00 PM, and the latest possible is 10:30 PM.
