2015 – Christoph Bertschy signs entry-level contract

 

On this date in 2015, one of the Wild’s fan favorites became a part of the team when forward Christoph Bertschy signed his three-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota. Bertschy was selected by Minnesota in the sixth round (158th overall) in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to joining the Wild, he spent four seasons with SC Bern, where he amassed 66 points (32g, 34a) in 153 games. With Iowa, Bertschy played in 184 games, scoring 76 points (30g, 46a) and was eventually named an assistant captain. He made his Minnesota Wild debut on Nov. 7, 2015 and played in nine NHL contests, earning one assist. Bertschy currently plays for Lausanne HC in the Swiss-A League.
