

Iowa Wild's Junior Crash Course
Want to get your kiddos involved in hockey, but not sure where to start? We created the perfect program to help aspiring youth hockey players in central Iowa learn how to skate and play hockey!
Youth participants between the ages of 4 and 12 have the opportunity to learn the game of hockey and play on-ice through our Junior Crash Course program. The program's six sessions beginning in October are designed to introduce the game of hockey at the beginner-level while providing kids with FREE equipment from our partners at Scheels.
Every selected participant will receive:

One (1x) helmet
-
One (1x) hockey stick
-
One (1x) pair of skates
-
One (1x) hockey bag
-
One (1x) set of protective pads
-
Six (6x) hands-on sessions with Iowa Wild players and coaches to learn the fundamentals

To be eligible, the participant or any family member may not currently be affiliated with Des Moines Youth Hockey or registered with USA Hockey. Due to program limitations, not every applicant can be selected to participate.The selection process is meticulous and we do everything in our power to provide opportunities for as many young aspiring hockey players as possible.
