JASON ZUCKER SIGNS TWO-YEAR DEAL WITH MINNESOTA

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Wednesday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has re-signed restricted free agent Jason Zucker (pronounced ZOOK-ER) to a two-year, $4 million contract worth $2 million in both 2016-17 and 2017-18.

Zucker, 24 (1/16/92), tallied 23 points (13-10=23) in 71 games with Minnesota last season and set career highs in games played, assists, penalty minutes (20), shots (158), hits (83), takeaways (40), blocked shots (33) and TOI/game (15:35). The 5-foot-11, 185-pound native of Newport Beach, Calif., ranked second on the team in takeaways and sixth in shots. Zucker added two assists in six playoff contests. He owns 61 points (42-19=61) in 169 career NHL games in parts of five seasons with the Wild. Zucker was originally selected by Minnesota in the second round (59th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

He played in Iowa briefly during the 2013-14 season, scoring eight times and totaling 13 points in 22 games with the AHL’s Wild. He is responsible for setting up the first goal in Iowa Wild history on Oct 12,2013, assisting on Brett Bulmer’s tally against Oklahoma City in the team’s inaugural game. Zucker also owns the Iowa Wild record for most shots in a game, blasting 11 on Nov. 15, 2013 at home against San Antonio.

The Iowa Wild’s 2016-17 regular season schedule will be announced late in the summer and single game tickets for the 2016-17 regular season will go on sale in September. The Iowa Wild 2016-17 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team’s 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena. Season tickets to see the Wild play its 2016-17 season at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game. Fans may purchase single-game tickets multiple ways, either through the team's website – www.Iowawild.com, the Wells Fargo Arena box office or participating Hy-Vee food stores. The Wells Fargo Arena box office is open Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. For Saturday game days, the box office will open at 10 a.m. For Sunday game days the box office will open at 12 p.m. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-844-55-HYVEE or by visiting participating Hy-Vee food stores locations in the greater Des Moines area.
