Wild Assigns Forwards Archambault and Eberle to ECHL Affiliate

DES MOINES, IA – Iowa Wild General Manager Brent Flahr announced on Friday the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed center Andrew Yogan to a professional tryout agreement (PTO). Flahr also announced that forwards Tanner Eberle and Olivier Archambault have been assigned to the Quad City Mallards – Iowa’s ECHL affiliate.

Yogan, 23 (12/4/91), is in his fifth full pro season after starting the season with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. In one game this season with the Cyclones, he picked up three assists. The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder spent the majority of the 2014-15 season with the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage.  In 43 games with San Antonio, the Coral Springs, FL native scored eight goals and totaled nine points. Over his career, Yogan has played in 132 AHL games, scoring 22 times and adding 19 assists for 41 points. Aside from San Antonio, he has also suited up for the AHL’s Hartford WolfPack/Connecticut Whale from 2010-2015. The New York Rangers drafted him in the fourth round (#110 overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Archambault, 22 (2/16/93), has played in six games for Iowa this season without registering a point.  He enters his second pro season after splitting last year between Iowa and Alaska (ECHL). After signing an AHL SPC in October, he was assigned to Alaska and played the first half of the season. In 24 games with Iowa, the left wing scored four goals and added five assists for nine points. At the time of his AHL recall in January, Archambault was among the ECHL rookie scoring leaders. He finished with 20 goals and 18 assists for 38 points in 38 games played, earning ECHL All-Star honors. For his AHL career, Archambault has played in 34 games with five goals and 11 points.

Eberle, 21 (1/12/94), enters his first pro season after playing the last five seasons in the WHL with the Moose Jaw Warriors. He has appeared in three games for Iowa without registering a point. Last season, the 5-11, 190-pounder played in 63 games, scoring 33 goals and adding 23 assists for 56 points, to go along with 99 penalty minutes. For his WHL career, the Regina, SK native played in 270 contests, posting 80 goals and 92 assists for 172 points. He turned pro at the end of the 2014-15 season, playing for both Bridgeport of the AHL and Allen of the ECHL. Eberle was scoreless in six games with the AHL’s Sound Tigers. In five games with the Americans, the forward posted two goals and four points.
