2019 – Iowa Wild (7) at Grand Rapids Griffins (3)

 

In their first game with Iowa, the NHL reinforcements showed up in a big way on this date in 2019. Ryan Donato recorded five points, the most ever in an Iowa debut, Luke Kunin became the first player in Wild history with multiple hat tricks and Jordan Greenway added a pair of helpers, giving the trio a combined 11 points in the contest. The win also snapped an eight-game losing streak while also setting a new franchise mark for points in a single season with 83.

 

2018 – Iowa Wild (3) vs. Rockford IceHogs (5)

 

In a back and forth affair between the two clubs, Rockford eventually came out on top with a 5-3 victory. Rockford scored first but two goals by Gerry Fitzgerald and Kyle Rau in the first period gave the Wild a2-1 lead after 20 minutes. Rockford then took a 3-2 lead after the second period, but Rau potted a second goal early in the third period to tie the contest at 3-3. But Rockford ultimately prevailed, adding two goals in the final five minutes for the win.

 

2016 – Lucia ready for next step

 

Fresh off his senior season at Notre Dame, Mario Lucia sat down with Tom Witosky to discuss what life has been like since making the jump to the professional ranks. In college, Lucia built an impressive resume, earning 110 points in 151 games. 2015 – Iowa Wild (4) vs. Oklahoma City Barons (0)

 

The Wild exploded for three goals in the first period en route to a 4-0 win on this date in 2015. Zack Mitchell, Brett Sutter and Jonathon Blum each recorded a tally in the first period and Michael Keranen topped it off with a goal late in the third to cap off the victory. John Curry stopped all 28 shots in the game to earn his second shutout in three appearances.
