2016 – Iowa Wild (2) at Chicago Wolves (4)
In the final contest of the 2016 season, the Wild were defeated by the Wolves by a score of 4-2 at Allstate Arena. The two teams played a scoreless first period and then exploded for five goals in the second period, trading off between teams. Mario Lucia and Conor Allen scored the goals for the Wild, moving the game to 1-1 and 2-2, respectively. Ty Rattie’s second goal of the game late in the second put Chicago up 3-2 and an insurance goal from Justin Selman late in the third sealed the victory for the home team.
2014 – Iowa Wild (3) vs. Chicago Wolves (4)
The Wild fell to the Chicago Wolves in a shootout by a score of 4-3 in the final home game of the 2014 season. Jamie MacQueen, Kurtis Gabriel and Tyler Graovac each had a multi-point outing, with Graovac setting up both MacQueen’s and Gabriel’s tally. Gabriel scored late in the first to tie the game at 1-1 and then after a goal from Jake Dowell, MacQueen made it a 3-2 contest in favor of the Wild midway through the second period. But Chicago evened the game again late in the middle frame and then it took six rounds of the shootout before the Wolves came out on top.
