MINNESOTA WILD ADDS DEFENSEMAN VICTOR BARTLEY
Jul 1, 2016SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Friday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed free-agent defenseman Victor Bartley (pronounced VIHK-tohr BAR-tlee) on a one-year, two-way contract ($650,000/$350,000).

Bartley, 28 (2/17/88), skated in one game with the Nashville Predators and nine games with the Montreal Canadiens last season and totaled four points (1-3=4) in 24 games in the American Hockey League (AHL) with Milwaukee and St. John’s. The 6-foot, 215-pound native of Ottawa, Ont., has totaled 23 points (1-22=23) and 61 penalty minutes (PIM) in 121 career NHL games during parts four seasons with Nashville (2012-16) and Montreal (2015-16). The blueliner also appeared in four playoff games with Nashville in 2014-15. Bartley has totaled 71 points (19-52=71) and 127 PIM in 172 career AHL games over five seasons with Providence (2008-09), Bridgeport (2009-10), Milwaukee (2011-13, 2015-16) and St. John’s (2015-16). He played for Canada at the 2006 Under-18 World Championship and was originally signed as a free agent by Nashville on May 24, 2011.

The 2016-17 regular season schedule will be announced late in the summer and single game tickets for the 2016-17 regular season will go on sale in September. The Iowa Wild 2016-17 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team’s 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena. Season tickets to see the Wild play its 2016-17 season at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game. The Wells Fargo Arena box office is open Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. For Saturday game days, the box office will open at 10 a.m. For Sunday game days the box office will open at 12 p.m. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-844-55-HYVEE or by visiting participating Hy-Vee food stores locations in the greater Des Moines area.
