MINNESOTA WILD TO HOLD DEVELOPMENT CAMP JULY 12-17 AT XCEL ENERGY CENTER

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Friday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club holds development camp for team prospects July 12-17 at Xcel Energy Center. The on-ice sessions will be led by Minnesota Wild assistant coaches John Anderson, Darby Hendrickson and Scott Stevens, Iowa Wild Head Coach Derek Lalonde, Associate Head Coach David Cunniff and Assistant Coach Pascal Rheaume, along with Minnesota Wild Director of Player Development Brad Bombardir, Player Development Coach Richard Park, Skating Skills Coach Andy Ness and Goaltender Development Coach Frederic Chabot. In addition, players will participate in daily strength and conditioning sessions, as well as other off-ice topics, including cooking, finance and nutrition education.

A total of 44 players are scheduled to attend the Wild's 2016 Development Camp, including 20 selected by Minnesota in the NHL Entry Draft. Players scheduled to attend include: Sam Anas, Louie Belpedio,Joel Eriksson Ek, Jordan Greenway, Luke Kunin, Mario Lucia, Nick Seeler, Alex Tuch and Alex Vay.   Here is the full roster

The Iowa Wild is well represented at camp with 12 skaters in the 2016 Wild development camp. Forwards Zack Mitchell, Mario Lucia, Nick Saracino, Colton Beck, Alex Petan, Brady Brassart, Chase Lang and Pavel Jenys will be in attendance. Defensemen Guillaume Gelinas, Alex Gudbranson and Hunter Warner will also be joining them for camp. Center Grayson Downing is injured and will be at camp, but not participating in on-ice activities. 

Minnesota Wild 2016 Development Camp will feature two scrimmages that are free and open to the public at Xcel Energy Center. Open scrimmages will occur on Thursday, July 14 at 2:30 p.m.and Sunday, July 17 at 5 p.m. Each scrimmage will feature two, 30-minute running time halves. Gate 1 will open to the public 30 minutes prior to the start of each scrimmage.

The Iowa Wild 2016-17 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April. Season tickets to see the Wild play its 2016-17 season at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game. The Wells Fargo Arena box office is open Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. For Saturday game days, the box office will open at 10 a.m. For Sunday game days the box office will open at 12 p.m. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-844-55-HYVEE or by visiting participating Hy-Vee food stores locations in the greater Des Moines area.
