“In anticipation of our fourth season and the home opener next Friday, we are donating these team-themed onesies to the pediatrics department at our great partner, Mercy Medical Center,” said Iowa Wild President Todd Frederickson. “Our focus has always been to engage and introduce the great sport of hockey to kids in central Iowa and what better way to do that than getting these newborns into their first Iowa Wild outfit. We are hoping to recruit our newest fans for life as these parents will tell their child that the first logo they ever wore was a Wild one. Who knows, maybe even one of these newborns will play for us one day.”

The Iowa Wild has donated 120 team-themed onesies for each newborn over the seven days. Mercy Women and Infants’ Center averages roughly 100 newborns a week.  The parents will be sharing the photos of their newborns on social media using #IAWildbaby. The promotion runs from Oct. 7 – Oct. 14, wrapping up after Iowa opens its fourth season in central Iowa. The Wild hosts Opening Night on Friday, Oct. 14 at 7 PM.

The Wild welcomes the Manitoba Moose to Wells Fargo Arena, where the team will greet fans with a 2016-17 Iowa Wild cling schedule. The Wild will also celebrate American Heart Association Night in the first game of the year. As part of the evening, the team is hosting a Healthy Food Drive to promote a healthy heart lifestyle. The popular promotion of $2 beers also makes its season debut, where fans (21 and over) may purchase domestic draft beers. The following night, Saturday, Oct.15, Iowa hosts a pregame tailgate party and welcomes patrons with a schedule poster. The tailgate party is presented by NASH FM 97.3, 92.5 NASH Icon, 98.3 The Vibe and 95KGGO. Fans (21 and over) may indulge in Jim Beam Drink specials for every Saturday night game of the year, presented by NASH ICON and NASH FM.
