Defenseman Heads Back to St. Paul

DES MOINES, IA – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Wednesday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Mike Reilly from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Reilly, 23 (7/13/93), posted two shots in Iowa's 4-3 loss last night. He was assigned to Iowa Monday after skating in 14:09 of Minnesota's season opener in St. Louis on Oct. 13. The 6-foot-2, 193-pound defenseman posted seven points (1-6=7) in 29 games with Minnesota during his rookie campaign in 2015-16. The Chicago native and former University of Minnesota Golden Gopher also totaled 23 points (5-18=23) in 45 games with Iowa last season, leading the team's defensemen and ranking T-13th amongst all AHL rookie blueliners in scoring.

Iowa continues a seven-game home stand on Oct. 21 and 22 with the Charlotte Checkers, both games are set for 7 PM. Friday night is a $2 Beer night, presented by 103 The Bus. The team also offers the first night of Collegeville, a special ticket offer for students. Saturday night is Ladies Night, with drinks specials throughout the game. Fans may enjoy Jim Beam drink specials, as well as drink specials on Barefoot Wine. The Brewdog Pack is available for purchase, which includes a Bud Light and a hot dog at the game, as well as a Bud Light after the game at Legends Bar and Grill.

Iowa continues a seven-game home stand on Oct. 25 at 7 PM with the Cleveland Monsters. For every Tuesday game of the year, Kids Eat Free (12 and under), presented by Goodhue-Nolte and 96.5 Country. Fans that present a Subway coupon will be able to purchase a ticket for $5.

Iowa’s last game of its opening seven-game home stand is on Friday, Oct. 28 at 7 PM with the Milwaukee Admirals. It’s a Hat Trick or Treat night, which begins with Pregame Trick or Treating on the Concourse. Friday’s game is also a $2 Beer Night, presented by 100.3 The Bus. There will be a Postgame Skate after the game for all fans.

The Iowa Wild 2016-17 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center: and runs from October through April. The Wells Fargo Arena box office is open Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. For Saturday game days, the box office will open at 10 a.m. For Sunday game days the box office will open at 12 p.m. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-844-55-HYVEE or by visiting participating Hy-Vee food stores locations in the greater Des Moines area.
