MINNESOTA RECALLS ZUCKER FROM IOWA

Iowa Welcomes Grand Rapids and Abbotsford Next Weekend

Des Moines, IA – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Wednesday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Jason Zucker (pronounced ZOOK-ER) from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Zucker, 21 (1/16/92), has tallied eight points (4-4=8), including three power-play goals in 12 games with Iowa this season. He ranks tied for first on the team in goals, tied for third in scoring and leads the team with 45 penalty minutes (PIM). Zucker was previously recalled by Minnesota on Oct. 6 and skated in one NHL game with the Wild at Nashville on Oct. 8. He collected five points (4-1=5) in 20 regular season games with Minnesota last season and added two points (1-1=2) in five playoff contests scoring the game-winning goal in Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinal series against Chicago. He has recorded seven points (4-3=7) in 27 career games with Minnesota. The 5-foot-11, 186-pound forward was born in Newport Beach, Calif., and raised in Las Vegas, Nev. He was selected by Minnesota in the second-round (No. 59) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

The Wild continues a six-game homestand with Grand Rapids on Friday, Nov. 22 at 7:05 p.m. Fans may donate a non-perishable food item to receive a free ticket to an upcoming game, presented by Zerorez. Also, as part of the Great American Smokeout, fans that quit smoking and turn in a tobacco product at the Central Iowa Tobacco Free Partnership table will receive a free ticket to an upcoming game. The Wild concludes its homestand with Abbotsford on Nov. 23 at 7:05 p.m. and Nov. 24 at 5:05 p.m. Saturday night is Veterans Appreciation Night and there is a Helmets to Hardhats Auction. Fans may participate in a live postgame auction of game-worn player helmets, benefitting Helmets to Hardhats. Sunday night, fans may purchase the Subway Family Four Pack for the game, which features four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and Subway coupons starting at $44.
