DALPE AND PULKKINEN ASSIGNED

DES MOINES, IA. – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Saturday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned forward Teemu Pulkkinen (pronounced TEE-moo PUHL-kih-nuhn) to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL). The team also announced it has activated forward Zac Dalpe from injured reserve and assigned him to Iowa.

Dalpe, 27 (11/1/89), underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee on Oct. 31. The 6-foot-2, 199-pound native of Paris, Ont., has tallied three points (1-2=3) in nine games with Minnesota this season and owns 12 points (12-12=24) in 128 career NHL contests with Carolina, Vancouver, Buffalo and the Wild.

 Pulkkinen, 24 (1/2/92), has recorded one goal in nine games with Minnesota and 15 points (8-7=15) in 18 games with Iowa this season. The Wild claimed Pulkkinen off of waivers from the Detroit Red Wings on Oct. 11. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound native of Vantaa, Finland, owns 21 points (12-9=21) in 79 career NHL contests with Detroit and Minnesota.

Iowa returns home for a two-game visit from the Manitoba Moose on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 3 PM. It’s Toys for Tots night, where fans may donate a toy and receive a ticket voucher for a future Iowa Wild home game. All donations benefit Toys for Tots, sponsored by Complete Nutrition and KCCI. The Subway Combo Pack is available for purchase at the game. There is also a postgame skate at the conclusion of the game. Rental skates are available for $2, and proceeds benefit the American Diabetes Association.

Iowa plays Manitoba again on Monday, Dec. 19 at 7 PM. It is a Free Parking Monday (until the IEC lots are full), sponsored by Nash Icon and KGGO. It is also $1 soda night and fans may bring in a Subway receipt to purchase a ticket for only $5.

The Iowa Wild 2016-17 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center: and runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team’s 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena. The Wells Fargo Arena box office is open Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. For Saturday game days, the box office will open at 10 a.m. For Sunday game days the box office will open at 12 p.m. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-844-55-HYVEE or by visiting participating Hy-Vee food stores locations in the greater Des Moines area.
