IOWA WILD REVEALS YOUTH FLOOR HOCKEY LEAGUE
Teams Creates New League For Youth in Central Iowa to Learn About Hockey
Des Moines, IA – The Iowa Wild, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild, announced on Monday, the team has created the Iowa Wild Youth Floor Hockey League.
Young hockey fans in Central Iowa have a new opportunity to learn the sport of hockey. Kids that participate receive an Iowa Wild youth jersey and ten flex tickets to any Iowa Wild regular season home game in 2013-14. In all, the league features seven regular season floor hockey games and two additional playoff games. Every game will be played at Hyvee Hall, next to Wells Fargo Arena. Sign ups are underway and fans have until Feb. 21 to get set up for participation. The league begins play with weekday-based games running from March to April. Kids aging from 8-12 are eligible to join the Iowa Wild Youth Floor Hockey League. Space in the league is limited, with only 40 roster spots per age group. Iowa continues a six-game homestand with Rockford on Thursday, Dec. 26 at 7 p.m. During the game, fans are encouraged to sport an Ugly Holiday Sweater. Fans may also purchase the Subway Family Four Pack, which features four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas, and four Subway coupons starting at $44. Iowa rounds out a six-game homestand on Sunday, Dec. 29 with the Milwaukee Admirals at 4 p.m. As with every Sunday home game during the regular season, fans may also purchase the Subway Family Four Pack.
Fans may purchase single game tickets multiple ways, either through the team's website – www.Iowawild.com, Wells Fargo Arena box office or Dahl's Ticketing. Tickets are available online at www.iowawild.com under the single game tickets tab. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-866-55-DAHLS (32457) or by visiting one of 13 Dahl's Food Stores locations in the greater Des Moines area, and in Ames.
