IOWA WILD AND BANKERS TRUST HELP LOCAL COUPLE PURCHASE THEIR FIRST HOME

Wild Honors First-Time Home Buyers on Tuesday Night

DES MOINES, IA – The Iowa Wild, in conjunction with Bankers Trust, announced on Monday the two organizations partnered to assist in a home purchase for the Krueger family of Des Moines.

On Wednesday, April 8th, the partners helped the family close on a home. The Iowa Wild players and staff donated $1,000 to help the Krueger’s purchase their first home.

“We are thankful to have a great partner in Bankers Trust, which allows us the opportunity to help families in our local community”, said Iowa Wild President Todd Frederickson. “We feel very fortunate to have a great core of players here in Des Moines. They understand this organization’s commitment to assisting those in need in central Iowa. We can’t thank our players enough for donating their own money to help make this happen.”

Matt and Mariah Krueger were recently married in November after a year of dating. The young newlyweds were able to find financial assistance from Bankers Trust in order to obtain their first home. Matt graduated in 2013 from Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, while Mariah earned her vet tech certification from DMACC in 2013. The Iowa natives found their first home in Des Moines and are excited to start their lives together in central Iowa.

“First-time home ownership requires a great deal of education,” said Jonathan Brendemuehl, Corporate Communications Manager at Bankers Trust. “Bankers Trust is proud to partner with the Iowa Wild to help the Kruegers achieve their dream of home ownership.”
