To enhance game day safety for fans, Wells Fargo Arena has implemented additional security procedures for all professional sporting events including the Iowa Wild. Starting Tuesday, January 26th (Iowa Wild vs. Chicago Wolves), hockey fans will see additional security measures which include: size requirements on all bags brought into the arena, new prohibited items and hand-held wanding upon entry. The enhanced security measures are intended to increase the overall safety of all guests and are consistent with security procedures at other venues around the country.

Fans may carry in bags that do not exceed 13” x 15” x 6”.  Bags exceeding this size are not permitted in Wells Fargo Arena, and those fans will be asked to return their oversized bags to their vehicles or discard them. This is in addition to the existing policy that all bags, purses, or personal items of any size are subject to search.

Wells Fargo Arena prohibits outside food and beverages, professional cameras (detachable/lenses longer than 6”), weapons of any kind (including permit to carry), chain belts, pocket knives and other hazardous or potentially dangerous items.  Items are subject to change at the discretion of Wells Fargo Arena security personnel.  Exceptions may be made for medical reasons after proper inspection of medical items.

Wells Fargo Arena is unable to store oversized or prohibited items.  Fans are encouraged to leave unnecessary personal belongings in their vehicle or at their place of residence.

Wells Fargo Arena respects the privacy of its guests and enhanced security measures are used to prevent hazardous and prohibited items from entering the venue. These measures are being implemented in light of the changing world we live in.
