The Wild strengthened its hold on first place in the Central with a 3-0 shutout against the IceHogs Friday evening, extending its winning streak against Rockford to three games. Goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen made 26 saves in the win, while forwards Colton Beck, Will Bitten and Justin Kloos all recorded goals in the contest.

  • Against the IceHogs Friday, goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen set a franchise record with his fifth shutout, the most in a single season for an Iowa netminder.
  • Forward Colton Beck set a new career-high with 11 goals in a season, doing so in 37 fewer games.
  • The Wild currently have a five-game winning streak, the longest active streak in the AHL, and have outscored opponents 16-3 during that stretch.
