IOWA SIGNS KYLE BONIS TO A PTO

Iowa Wild To Host Rockford Wednesday at 7 PM

DES MOINES, IA – Iowa Wild General Manager Brent Flahr on Wednesday announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed left wing Kyle Bonis to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).  

Bonis, 28 (2/15/89), is a fifth-year pro that has scored twice in three games for the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL this season. He played in 52 games for the AHL’s Rochester Americans in 2016-17, scoring ten goals and totaling 12 points. He also suited up in nine games for Toledo (ECHL), scoring six goals and adding five assists for 11 points. He returned to Toledo in the playoffs to lead the team in goals (10) and tied for the team lead in points (18) in 17 Kelly Cup Playoff games. Over his pro career, the 5-foot-11, 190-pound wing has scored 15 goals and added 24 points in 96 career AHL games between Rochester, San Diego, Grand Rapids, Charlotte and Norfolk. In 174 ECHL games, the Lindsay, ON native has accumulated 83 goals and 142 points. He played for Iowa Wild Head Coach Derek Lalonde in Toledo from 2014-16.

The Wild hosts the Rockford IceHogs in Des Moines on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. It is Wine Wednesday with $2 off Barefoot refresh presented by Barefoot Wine. 

After a pair of road games in Tucson, Iowa returns home to meet the San Antonio Rampage on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. It’s Dollar dog night with $1 hotdogs, $1 pretzels and $1 small popcorns - presented by LAZER 103.3. Trivia night takes place in “The Fort,” previously known as the River’s Edge Restaurant, before the game.

Iowa and San Antonio faceoff again on Friday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena. It is a Bus beer night with $2 beers presented by 100.3 The Bus. There is also a coat drive at the game. Fans receive a free weekday ticket voucher with a donation.
