IOWA WILD RECALLS DEFENSEMAN JOSH THROWER FROM ALLEN

Iowa Wild General Manager Tom Kurvers announced today the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled defenseman Josh Thrower from the ECHL’s Allen Americans.

 

Thrower, 22, has skated in 23 games this season, where he has registered three assists and 52 penalty minutes (PIM). In his ECHL career, Thrower has 10 points (1g, 9a) and 154 PIM in 92 career games with the Allen Americans.

 

Prior to his professional debut, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound native of Squamish, B.C. spent six seasons in the WHL, playing for the Calgary Hitmen, Tri-City Americans, Vancouver Giants and Moose Jaw Warriors. In his WHL career, Thrower appeared in 309 contests, amassing 73 points (11g, 73a) and 421 PIM.

 

Iowa battles the Ontario Reign Friday evening, with a 7:00 p.m. scheduled puck drop.
