MINNESOTA WILD RECALLS DEFENSEMAN CARSON SOUCY

DES MOINES, IOWA – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Carson Soucy from Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Soucy, 25 (7/27/92), has tallied 15 points (1g, 14a) in 67 games with Iowa this season, while also leading the team in plus-minus with a plus-12 rating. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound native of Irma, Alberta, Canada receives his first call-up to Minnesota of his career. Soucy was selected by Minnesota in the fifth round (137th overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Soucy spent four seasons with University of Minnesota-Duluth, amassing 47 points (12g, 35a) in 147 career games. He was a member of the 2016-17 team, which finished runner-up in the NCAA Frozen Four tournament.

Iowa continues its homestand with a contest against Cleveland Monsters Tuesday. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
