With a combination of funds raised from a live game-worn jersey auction, a raffle, ticket sales and chuck-a-puck, this year's Pink in the Rink generated $44,098, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen of Greater Iowa. This marks the first time that Pink in the Rink has generated over $40,000 – a new event record. The Iowa Wild and Susan G. Komen of Greater Iowa partnered to top the $30,000-mark in fundraising in each of the first three Pink in the Rink events.

"This year was truly outstanding and beyond our biggest hopes of what we thought we could generate for breast cancer awareness and research", said Iowa Wild President Todd Frederickson. "Susan G Komen of Greater Iowa is a great partner to work with. For this event to be a success it takes a lot of moving parts, aside from Susan G. Komen of Greater Iowa, we could not have done this without our players, sponsors and more importantly, our great fans. Finding a cure remains a top priority and the Wild takes pride in helping raise awareness and funds to support that cause."

In all, the team has now generated close to $150,000 for Susan G. Komen of Greater Iowa over the last four years. The live postgame jersey auction was the primary source of funds raised, totaling over $28,225. Forward Teemu Pulkkinen’s jersey produced the top bid at $3,100. Per tradition, the team welcomed over 10,000 fans for the unique and popular event at Wells Fargo Arena held on Feb. 11.
