The Iowa Wild and Charlotte Checkers complete their weekend series on Saturday at 6 p.m. on Veterans Appreciation Night. The Wild will rebrand as the Iowa Aeros for the game and wear specialty jerseys, which will be sold in a live auction postgame with proceeds benefiting Mid-Iowa Council, Scouting America.

  • Jared Spurgeon, Matt Dumba, Charlie Coyle, Darcy Kuemper, Jonas Brodin, Jason Zucker, Erik Haula, Brent Burns, and Mikael Granlund are the only players active in the NHL who played in Houston 

  • Iowa’s jerseys will feature gold stars in the crest and on the arm sleeves, a reference to America’s Gold Star Families
