IOWA WILD ANNOUNCES ROSTER MOVES

DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowa Wild General Manager Mike Murray today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed defenseman Ben Brinkman to a professional try-out contract (PTO). The Iowa Wild also reassigned forward Louis Boudon to the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL and released goaltender Peyton Jones from his PTO. 

Brinkman, 23 (10/4/00), has posted four points (1-3=4) and ten penalty minutes (PIM) in 35 games with the Heartlanders this season. Prior to his professional career, Brinkman played four years at the University of Minnesota (2018-22) and his final NCAA season at Notre Dame (2022-23). The Edina, Minn. native captained Edina High School in 2018 and helped the team finish third at the Minnesota High School Hockey Tournament. Brinkman will wear sweater No. 36 with the Iowa Wild. 

Boudon, 25 (10/4/98), scored one goal in eight AHL games with Iowa and has 19 points (7-12=19) in 20 games for the Heartlanders this season. He skated in three games for the Iowa Wild last season and registered one assist. The 5-foot-11, 181-pound native of Grenoble, France made his AHL debut with the Laval Rocket on Mar. 17 following four seasons at Lake Superior State University, where he posted 114 points (39-75=114) in 139 games and served as the team captain in his junior and senior seasons. Prior to his collegiate career, Boudon recorded 119 points (41-78=119) across 108 games with the Northeast Generals in the NAHL. Boudon also represented France at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championships.    

Jones, 27 (2/14/96), has appeared in 21 games with the Iowa Heartlanders in the ECHL this season, where he has posted a record of 8-10-1, with a 3.11 goals against average (GAA), a .901 save percentage (SV%), and one shutout. He skated in 30 games with the Belfast Giants and Nottingham Panthers in the EIHL last season, where he posted a combined record of 15-12-0, with a 2.84 GAA, a .912 SV%, and two shutouts. Jones previously appeared in five AHL games with the Colorado Eagles in 2020-21 and 2021-22. Prior to his professional career, Jones appeared in 133 games across four seasons with Penn State University, where he went 76-44-11 with a 2.88 GAA, a 0.907 SV%, and four shutouts.
