IOWA WILD RECALLS ELLIOT DESNOYERS AND WILLIAM ROUSSEAU
Mar 19, 2026DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowa Wild General Manager Matt Hendricks today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled forward Elliot Desnoyers and goaltender William Rousseau from the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL.
Desnoyers, 24 (1/21/2002), has skated in nine games with the Iowa Wild and owns 28 points (7-21-28), 31 penalty minutes (PIM), and a minus-8 rating in 41 games with the Heartlanders this season. He recorded 85 points (34-51=85), 66 PIM, and a minus-8 rating across 187 games and three seasons with Lehigh Valley from 2022-2025. The 5-foot-11, 183-pound native of Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, was originally selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the fifth round (135th overall) in the 2020 NHL Draft and skated in four NHL games with Philadelphia in 2022-23.
Prior to his professional career, Desnoyers registered 203 points (86-117=203), 89 PIM, and a plus-54 rating in 220 QMJHL games with the Moncton Wildcats (2018-20) and Halifax Mooseheads (2020-22). He also won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship, where he recorded one assist in seven games.

Rousseau, 23 (1/9/2003) has posted a 2-3-0 record with a 2.38 goals-against average (GAA) and a .923 save percentage (SV%) in six games with the Wild this season. Rousseau also recorded a 1-1-1 record with a 2.38 GAA and a .921 SV% with the Iowa Wild in 2024-25. The Trois-Rivières, Québec native owns a 23-21-8 record and three shutouts with a .904 SV% and a 2.93 GAA in 54 games across two seasons with the Heartlanders (2024-26).
Prior to his professional career, Rousseau played 137 games across four seasons in the QMJHL with the Québec Remparts (2020-23) and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (2023-24), where he accumulated a record of 95-26-3 with a 2.35 GAA and a .910 SV%. Rousseau also appeared in 36 playoff games in his final three junior seasons and posted a record of 26-10-0 with a 2.43 GAA and a .911 SV%.
