IOWA WILD ANNOUNCES 2025-26 TRAINING CAMP ROSTER

IOWA WILD RECALLS LESKOVAR AND ROUSSEAU FROM HEARTLANDERS

DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowa Wild General Manager Matt Hendricks today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled defenseman Stevie Leskovar and goaltender William Rousseau from the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL.    

Leskovar, 21 (9/9/04), has skated in three games with the Wild in 2025-26 and recorded four points (2-2=4), 35 penalty minutes (PIM), and a minus-10 rating in 24 games with the Heartlanders this season. 

Prior to his professional career, Leskovar recorded six points (1-5=6), 76 PIM, and a plus-6 rating in 35 games with the Brampton Steelheads (OHL) in 2024-25. The 6-foot-3, 216-pound Cambridge, Ontario native accumulated 21 points (4-17=21), 243 PIM, and a plus-6 rating across 160 OHL games with the Peterborough Petes (2021-23), Mississauga Steelheads (2022-24), and Brampton (2024-25). Leskovar served as Brampton’s alternate captain during the 2024-25 season.   

Leskovar was selected in the sixth round (#174 overall) in the 2024 NHL Draft by the Minnesota Wild. He wears sweater No. 44 with the Iowa Wild. 

Rousseau, 23 (1/9/2003) has posted a 0-1-0 record with a 3.43 goals-against average (GAA) and a .905 save percentage (SV%) in two games with the Wild this season. Rousseau also recorded a 1-1-1 record with a 2.38 GAA and a .921 SV% with the Iowa Wild in 2024-25. The Trois-Rivières, Québec native owns a 22-19-8 record and two shutouts with a .903 SV% and a 2.98 GAA in 51 games across two seasons with the Heartlanders (2024-26). 

Prior to his professional career, Rousseau played 137 games across four seasons in the QMJHL with the Québec Remparts (2020-23) and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (2023-24), where he accumulated a record of 95-26-3 with a 2.35 GAA and a .910 SV%. Rousseau also appeared in 36 playoff games in his final three junior seasons and posted a record of 26-10-0 with a 2.43 GAA and a .911 SV%.    

Rousseau wears sweater No. 35 with the Iowa Wild.
