IOWA WILD ANNOUNCES 2025-26 TRAINING CAMP ROSTER

IOWA WILD RECALLS SAMUEL HLAVAJ, STEVIE LESKOVAR, AND WILL ZMOLEK

DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowa Wild General Manager Matt Hendricks today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled defensemen Stevie Leskovar and Will Zmolek and goaltender Samuel Hlavaj from the Iowa Heartlanders (ECHL). 

Leskovar, 21 (9/9/04), has totaled one goal, eight penalty minutes (PIM) and a plus-1 rating in 11 games with the Heartlanders this season. Leskovar also skated in one game with the Iowa Wild in 2024-25. 

Prior to his professional career, Leskovar recorded six points (1-5=6), 76 PIM, and a plus-6 rating in 35 games with the Brampton Steelheads (OHL) in 2024-25. The 6-foot-3, 216-pound Cambridge, Ontario native accumulated 21 points (4-17=21), 243 PIM, and a plus-6 rating across 160 OHL games with the Peterborough Petes (2021-23), Mississauga Steelheads (2022-24), and Brampton (2024-25). Leskovar served as Brampton’s alternate captain during the 2024-25 season.   

Leskovar was selected in the sixth round (#174 overall) in the 2024 NHL Draft by the Minnesota Wild. He wears sweater No. 44 with the Iowa Wild. 

Zmolek, 26 (4/17/1999) has recorded an assist and a plus-1 rating in three games with the Wild this season. Zmolek posted three points (1-2=3) and plus-3 rating with the Wild in 2024-25. He added nine points (1-8=9), five PIM, and a plus-2 rating with the Heartlanders in 37 ECHL games and skated in seven postseason contests, recording two assists, two PIM, and a minus-4 rating. Zmolek recorded two points (0-2=2), and a minus-2 rating in six games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms during the 2023-24 season. He also totaled 11 points (4-7=11) and 44 PIM in 50 games with the Reading Royals in the ECHL during 2023-24. Zmolek skated in three regular season games and one postseason contest with the Phantoms during 2022-23.  

Prior to his professional career, Zmolek played four seasons at Bemidji State University from 2019-23, where he recorded 46 points (9-37=46), 72 PIM, and a plus-5 rating through 126 games. The 6-foot-3, 194-pound native of Rochester, Minn., also accumulated 34 points (4-30=34), 173 PIM, and a minus-2 rating over 121 games and two seasons with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in the USHL from 2017-19.     

Zmolek wears sweater no. 4 with the Iowa Wild. 

Hlavaj, 24 (5/29/2001), owns a 3.56 goals against-average (GAA), a .871 save percentage (SV%), and 3-5-1 record in nine games with the Iowa Wild this season. Hlavaj posted a 2.85 GAA, .904 SV%, and a 14-4-4 record with the Wild in 2024-25. He also recorded a 3.02 GAA, a .885 SV%, and a 2-2-1 record in five games with the Heartlanders in 2024-25.  

Hlavaj posted a 3.10 GAA and a .902 SV% in 28 games with HC Škoda Plzeň of the Czech Extraliga during the 2023-24 season. The 6-foot-4, 193-pound native of Martin, Slovakia, spent two seasons with HC Slovan Bratislava (2021-23) of the Slovakia League and recorded a 2.47 GAA, a .912 SV% and one shutout in 27 games.   

Hlavaj wears sweater no. 31 with the Iowa Wild.
