IOWA WILD SIGNS DEFENSEMAN ANDRE ANANIA TO PTO
Feb 27, 2026DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowa Wild General Manager Matt Hendricks today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club signed defenseman Andre Anania to a professional try-out contract (PTO).
Anania, 23 (3/2/03), has recorded 27 points (4-23=27), 50 PIM, and a plus-9 rating in 49 games with the Allen Americans (ECHL) this season. Anania also posted 11 points (4-7=11), 40 PIM, and a minus-12 rating with the Savannah Ghost Pirates in the ECHL in 2024-25.
Prior to his professional career, Anania recorded 87 points (21-66=87), 189 PIM, and a plus-73 rating across 180 games in three seasons with the Sudbury Wolves (OHL) from 2021-24.
Anania will wear sweater No. 5 with Iowa.
