IOWA WILD SIGNS GOALTENDER CHASE WUTZKE TO ATO
Mar 26, 2025DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowa Wild General Manager Matt Hendricks today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed goaltender Chase Wutzke to an amateur try-out contract (ATO).
Wutzke, 18 (7/26/06) posted a 17-25-5 record with a 3.38 goals-against average (GAA), a .895 save percentage (SV%), and one shutout in 50 games with the Red Deer Rebels (WHL) in 2024-25. The Debden, Saskatchewan native owns a record of 40-35-8 with a 3.21 GAA, a .896 SV%, and two shutouts in 93 career games with Red Deer (2021-25). Wutzke went 4-2-1 with a 2.48 GAA and .924 SV% in postseason play with Red Deer following the 2023-24 season.
Wutzke was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the fifth round (142nd overall) of the 2024 NHL Draft.
