MINNESOTA REASSIGNS GRAOVAC AND OLOFSSON TO IOWA

Iowa Adds Center and Defenseman

DES MOINES, IA – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Tuesday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned forward Tyler Graovac (pronounced GRAY-oh-vack) and defenseman Gustav Olofsson (pronounced GOO-stahv OH-lawf-suhn) to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Graovac, 23 (4/27/93), has registered six goals, 38 shots and 45 hits in 46 games with Minnesota this season. He has also notched four points (3-1=4) and 13 penalty minutes (PIM) in eight games with Iowa this season. The 6-foot-5, 212-pound native of Brampton, Ont., owns six goals in 51 career NHL contests with Minnesota and has tallied 91 points (42-49=91) in 184 AHL games with Iowa. He is among the all-time leaders in most statistical categories.

Olofsson, 22 (12/1/94), has collected two assists and 13 blocked shots in eight games with Minnesota this season. He registered his first career NHL points with two assists on Feb. 12 vs. Detroit. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound native of Boras, Sweden, has also recorded 21 points (5-16=21) in 45 games with Iowa this season. Olofsson owns two assists in 10 career NHL games with Minnesota and has collected 39 points (8-31=39) in 106 career AHL games.

After a lengthy road trip with games in Chicago, Rockford, Texas and Milwaukee, Iowa returns home to play the Milwaukee Admirals on Saturday, Mar. 18 at 6 PM at Wells Fargo Arena. The St. Patrick’s Day game features a postgame concert with Gaelic Storm, sponsored by 100.3 The Bus, Jim Beam and My Satellite Guy. VIP packages are available starting at $20. The first 1,500 fans to the game receive an Iowa Wild Irish themed hat, sponsored by 95 KGGO and LIUNA.  In a partnership with Jim Beam and NASH FM, fans 21 and older are able to purchase the “The Big Ginger” drink special.  It is also Jim Beam Night. Subway Combo Packs are available for purchase at the game. Brewdog packs are also available for purchase at the game, presented by Legends American Grill and Bud Light. The Wild will also don St. Patrick’s Day themed specialty jerseys for the game. The team wears the specialty jerseys for all three home games in March, culminating with a live postgame jersey auction on Saturday, Mar. 31.

The Wells Fargo Arena box office is open Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday.
