WILD PROSPECTS START TRAVERSE CITY TOURNEY FRIDAY

Minnesota Takes on St. Louis at 3 PM

Traverse City, Mich. – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club will participate in the 2017 NHL Prospect Tournament in Traverse City, Mich., Sept. 8-12. Wild prospects will compete in the tournament’s Ted Lindsay Division with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues. The Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings and New York Rangers will play in the Gordie Howe Division.

Minnesota’s roster features 11 Wild draft picks: D Gustav Bouramman (2015, 7th round), D Braydyn Chizen (2016, 7th round), C Joel Eriksson Ek (2015, 1st round), C Adam Gilmour (2012, 4th round), D Jacob Golden (2017, 5th round), RW Pavel Jenys (2014, 7th round), C Luke Kunin (2016, 1st round), RW Ivan Lodnia (2017, 3rd round), C Mason Shaw (2017, 4th round), RW Dmitry Sokolov (2016, 7th round) and D Carson Soucy (2013, 5th round), along with 2017 free-agent signee C Justin Kloos. The roster also includes Gerald Mayhew, who is signed to an AHL contract with the Iowa Wild, as well as defenseman Hunter Warner and center Chase Lang, who each spent their rookie season in Iowa last year.

Iowa Wild Head Coach Derek Lalonde, Associate Coach David Cunniff, Assistant Coach Brett McLean and Video Coach Keith Paulsen will lead the Wild prospects.

STREAMING: All Minnesota Wild games at the 2017 NHL Prospect Tournament will stream live within FOX Sports North's broadcast coverage area on Wild.com, FOX Sports GO and NHL.com. To stream games, users will need to verify credentials by signing in with their pay-TV provider's user ID and password; there is no additional charge to use FOX Sports GO. All Wild games will also be carried live on Wild.com and feature the play-by-play commentary of Iowa Wild broadcaster Joe O'Donnell. He will be joined by Josh Fisher.

The Iowa Wild plays a pair of preseason games, both will be in North Dakota against the Manitoba Moose - the Winnipeg Jets AHL club. Iowa and Manitoba meet at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, ND on Friday. Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. The two teams will play a second preseason game at the Scheels Arena in Fargo, ND on Saturday. Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. Iowa hosts the Green-White scrimmage at Wells Fargo Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m.
