WILD AGREES TO TERMS WITH FORWARD LANDON FERRARO

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Saturday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has agreed to terms with free-agent forward Landon Ferraro on a two-year, two-way contract ($700,000/$375,000 in 2017-18 and 2018-19).

Ferraro, 25 (8/8/91), collected 15 points (7-8=15) and 12 penalty minutes (PIM) in 22 games with the Chicago Wolves in the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2016-17. During the 2015-16 season, the 6-foot, 180-pound native of St. Catharines, Ontario, skated in 10 games with the Detroit Red Wings before being claimed off waivers by the Boston Bruins on Nov. 22, 2015. In 58 games with the Bruins, he tallied 10 points (5-5=10) and 20 PIM. Ferraro owns 11 points (6-5=11) and 29 PIM in 75 career NHL contests with the Red Wings and Bruins. He also skated in seven Stanley Cup playoff matches with Detroit in 2014-15. Ferraro has tallied 155 points (82-73=155) and 216 PIM in 292 career AHL contests with the Grand Rapids Griffins and the Wolves and owns 19 points (6-13=19) in 33 Calder Cup playoff matches.

Opening Night 2017 is slated for Saturday, Oct. 7 with a complete 76-game regular season schedule announced at a later date during the summer.
